In these changes, fear and surprise.

So I wrote a story, and it's decent.

I met a boy, he's pretty decent himself.

I read a book, and it was really weird.

School was canceled due to snow- that was exciting.

I'm not sure if it's cancelled or canceled, because different spell checks say different things.

I had an excellent interview on Saturday for Scholar Leaders.

I didn't get SOUL.

My roommates are absolutely wonderful.

Life is beautiful.

For the most part it sounds like you're still finding a way to have a good time =]

In American English, it's "canceled", while in British English, it's "cancelled." Same with travel(l)ed and total(l)ed. Although I don't always agree with British spellings (since some of them are rightfully weird), this is one case where I think they are absolutely 100% more correct than us, because if "cancellation" has two Ls, why doesn't "canceled"?

I don't know about you, but I intend to use the British spellings in these cases.
