Blogging

So I've realized just how much time blogging is, since I haven't blogged in over a week (again). It's funny how sometimes I can spend an hour and a half just blogging. I don't know where that time comes from.

Nano is doing okay. I feel like I work better under pressure, so I get really behind on the weekends and have the weekdays to catch up. It works. I also really like writing at marching band time and at night. Those are very good times for me to just let my creativity flow. I'm really, really looking forward to editing this story, because there are so many things I want to change, but obviously my goal is not to write a good story, but a 50,000 word story that I can go back and edit. So maybe I'll be editing this during December and writing the short stories later- like in January or February. But I really want to do those, too, because I highly enjoy short stories.

I've decided I really want to become more integrated into the English department, developing my skills as a writer and as a reader. I'm going to a Shakespeare meeting this afternoon, 3:30, so that'll be one step. Then I'm thinking about going to a poetry slam tonight. Either that or the trumpet ensemble. I'm not sure yet. haha. I have a lot of clashing things going on due to the English/Music department opportunities. Tuesday there are a lot of different things I could do. I could go to the Naturally 7 concert, which includes the Cheezies and Remnants and Misfitz and Mergers (all the a cepella groups on campus). Or I could go to a faculty reading for the Creative Writing department. The concert sounds a lot more fun, but it costs money.
