One novel and Ten short stories

Some suggestion on the Nanowrimo site talk about writing a collection of shorts stories instead of a novel. Since this is my first time doing Nano, I want to do the classic novel, but the idea of short stories sounds great, especially since I idolize Joyce. So I've decided that December is going to be my PeSswrimo (Personal Short Story Writing Month).

Wow! So one 50k-word novel and ten 5k-word short stories in under nine weeks? That would be awesome if you can accomplish it.

Best of luck!

(I got "ilini" as my CAPTCHA. Not to be confused with these Illini.)

And "accenta." Boy, these are good!

Actually, just to note, I made up the number ten. I have no idea how many short stories I will actually write, but they will be of 50,000 word totalness. I like your ...whatever you like to call it. CAPTCHA. haha. And there you go with your link-age again. :-P

It is a lot of writing, especially since I've got three english classes this semester on top of it, and December is finals month. But I feel that these are way important to me as a writer if not for good stories for good practice of both novel writing and short writing as well as quick thinking, expansion of thought, breaking writer's block, and language ideas for other stories.

That would be a whole lot of writing, but that will be really interesting. I loved when you wrote something everyday, you had those prompts every day and some were whoa random...my CAPTCHA is plogost...teehee
