Happy and sad

So I was talking on the phone yesterday and we talked about how people don't talk as much when they are happy (well, unless they are those braggy stupid people). Most of what comes out of people's mouths is complaining and arguing and stuff. It's funny, because when you're happy, all you have to do is smile, but when you're sad, you have to express it with words. I wanna know why that is. I know most of what I say is complaining, or whining, or something of that sort.

There was something else I wanted to talk about, but I forget.

So anyways....
Out of my four core classes (english, history, science, and math) I think I like History the best. In English, Ms Totty is so unorganized and I have no idea what's going on in that class. Science just killed me in the first nine weeks and so I've lost a lot of...encouragement or whatever in that class. Math bores me to death because I understand everything she's saying and I wish we would move on to difficult things or something. And in history, I actually try. I pay attention, and I'm actually learning stuff. I may not be doing the best in that class, but I really like it. I actually ask questions in that class that help me to learn more. It's funny, because I've never really done that before.

Of all my other classes,(latin, music tech, gym, chorus, band) music tech is probably my favorite. I love using pro-tools, and just having fun and freedom. In most classes, when they give you the freedom to do whatever, I hate it because I don't know what they are expecting, but in this class it really doesn't matter because music is so different and fun. Latin bores me and I find it pointless to do homework. I really just hate gym. Chorus and band are fun, because they are music too, but I don't have the independence I have in music tech.

I've been doing a whole lot of reading this weekend and this week. Books amaze me. I'm not saying I hate my life, because I really do love my life, but I love jumping into other worlds and other people's lives and learning about them. I know I've been saying that a lot lately, but it's true. I don't know why people hate to read, because I sure don't. Not like everyone should be like me, it's just that more people should try it. I try almost everything else, just to see what it's like. If people read more, I swear they would be a lot happier.

Speaking of happiness, I think I'm the only one happy lately. Everything is going right. I'm reading more, I'm actually doing my homework most of the time, I have free time just to relax, I'm THINKING about maybe just maybe trying to think about religion because it seems important to some people, and like I said above, I try things sometimes, and I've got Jay, who now knows I like him, which is a funny feeling, but not funny in a bad way, like it was over the weekend. Life is really good right now. I hope it stays that way.

Christmas is coming soon. I need to go shopping for people. Tell me what you want! But make it cheap. If you don't tell me, I'm going to get you something from the dollar store. I might actually wrap gifts this year, because my mom got cool wrapping paper. But I don't know yet.

I think that's all for now. I was going to say something else, really important, but I forget what. Which saddens me a little (only a little) because my memory is horrible and stuff. But it doesn't matter all that much. I can always have people retell me the important things, like what one plus one equals. :-P

Allow me to respond to what you wrote:

Geez, it seems like it's the exact opposite for me right now. But I'm usually like this in the fall...and then it carries over into winter; spring is typically a happier time for me.

I'm THINKING about maybe just maybe trying to think about religion

Yay! Do it; it's good for you. From what I hear, Laurel's church is pretty cool; they would probably welcome you with open arms. A warm, fuzzy feeling can do wonders.

Hmmmm... dunno if this is supposed to include me, seeing how you barely know me and we've never met... but I really don't know what I want (except more free time). A thoughtful card with a bit of cash works, I guess (jt).

And finally, in response to a comment on my blog...

there's this thing called updating. i think this blog needs it.

Don't worry; my term paper is done and turned in. I've been itching to write something lately, and I know just what I'm going to do...

3, Andrea...one plus one equals 3.

TJ, I feel with you. My life sucks too. Except when im with my friends, such as Dreadful Beth and Andrea. And I'm really suprised you didn't make some mention of the "uncertain connection deep thing" between me and Andrea.

I think Music Tech was my favorite class too. It was so fun, and even better when you have sib on ur computer ;)

IF you are going to try religion, you are definately going to church. I'm Lutheran, which you should be learning about in history soon, if you haven't already. And I need to start going back soon, so we could like go together. And that would be really fun. My church is the one behind Borders. Look for it, it's there.

I want nothing for Christmas. All I want is the joy of giving. (I know its corny! Sorry!)

Finally! I haven't even met you, and I've known you liked Jay for ages! Sorry Jay, but DANG you're slow!

As for religion, go for it! It may be hypocritical of me to say that I know it can be a great thing, but I also know it's not for me (sorry Laurel and TJ).

And for x-mas, I'll settle for a froggie smilie face.

Slow!? Hey, I was waiting for her to say something! She already knew how I felt, the ball was in her court.
