J.D.Salinger

It's weird to think that J.D.Salinger has died, because it's weird to think that he had been alive at all during my time period. I knew that Catcher in the Rye was written in the 50s, and that Salinger had been about 30 when he wrote it. It never occurred to me, though, that being so young when he wrote his masterpiece, he would still be alive today. Of course, I was probably told in my high school class that his date of birth-date of death was (1919-present), but it never occurred to me that he was living and breathing, just like the rest of us.

Weird.
